Glide

This is the inverse of the double lift. You show the bottom card. Perhaps it is some indifferent card. You turn the deck face down, then slide the bottom card off the deck and onto the table. You instruct the spectator to turn it face up, and Lo and Behold! It has changed to the chosen card.

Grip the deck face down in your left hand. The left thumb should run along the right side of the deck. The fingers should curl up under the left side of the deck, touching the bottom of the cards.
